What is your current role?

- My current role is Production Manager for DB Schenker at Toton.

How long have you been a member of the IRO and at what grade?

- I have been a member of the IRO for three years as an associate, but am just about to send in my application for full membership.

Why join the IRO?

- I joined the IRO to improve my career prospects, increase my knowledge of railway operating with the intention of doing the degree, and to network with people from other areas of the industry. I am a fairly active member attending most meetings in the midlands and the SE areas.

Are you involved in an Continuous Professional Development

- I enrolled onto the degree course last year, so hope to graduate in 2012.

Future Plans?

- Very much looking forward to helping out on the IRO Midlands council and developing the contribution of the freight rail business for the benefit of the branch.
