Admissions Policy
The IRO welcomes applications from employees at all disciplines and levels within the industry.
Principles
The admission of students is based on the reasonable expectation that the applicant will be able to dedicate the amount of personal study time required to fulfil the course objectives and achieve the standard required for the award for which they are enrolled.
It is vital that potential applicants carefully consider their ability to undertake such a course, along with work and personal commitments and that they gain the support of their employers.
How to Apply
In order to undertake the course students must have membership to the Institution of Railway Operators. Students may be covered by their corporate membership, but are still required to complete a membership application form as an affiliate member
As part of your application you are required to complete the following forms:
- IRO Membership Form, please click here (students must have at least Affiliate membership of the IRO). Other membership forms can be obtained from the Quicklinks panel.
