Communication and the Railway Industry
The aim of this module is to provide the necessary knowledge and skills to function effectively as a middle manager in the railway industry, where the industry is understood as the train operating companies, Network Rail and associated regulatory bodies.

By the end of the module students will be able to:
- Summarise and analyse standard industry documents relevant to rail operations
- Construct complex documents relevant to middle management in rail operations
- Generate and deliver a complex presentation pertaining to a subject of relevance to rail operations
- Demonstrate a capacity to participate meaningfully in a sustained dialogue and negotiation in relation to railway operations
