The Integrated Work based Project
The work based learning project integrates the knowledge and skills that the student has developed in other modules in the course. The module requires the student to undertake an independent research project based in their workplace.
Syllabus
During the module the following key areas will be covered:
- Reflective practice
- Research
- Literature review
- Writing learning outcomes
- Effective presentation
- Critical analysis
- Project management
Learning Outcomes
At the end of the module students will be able to:
- Demonstrate a basic knowledge of the main areas of railway operations
- Use a range of skills and techniques in relation to the railway industry to design project learning outcomes
- Demonstrate an ability to conduct a work based project
- Conduct and present a literature review for the project
