Logging on to the Members’ Area

There is no need to log on to use most of the website as the content is freely available, however, to access the members’ area, logging on is required. At the bottom of every page there is a footer section, to the right-hand side of this you can see links for registering and for logging on.

If you haven’t logged on before, you will need to use the ‘Register’ link to create a User Account for yourself, so click on the word ‘Register’ and you will see this panel appear; complete it and click the save/register link shown below:

If your details are accepted, you will see the following panel and an email will be sent to your email address with an embedded link

Click on the embedded link to complete the verification process, you need to do this otherwise you won’t be able to go any further. This is done simply to ensure that you have access to the email address that you specified when registering; so that if the site needs to send you anything (such as a password reminder) it will reach you.

Members’ Area

You can now access the member’s area. The first time you click on the Members’ Area menu item you will see this:

Type your details in (numeric part of your membership reference number and your surname as provided to IRO Administration) and click the link at the bottom. If all is well, you will be able to see new options in the Members’ Area menu otherwise you will see a message similar to this:

If you are sure that your details are correct, please contact admin@railwayoperators.org so that we can check for you.

You will only be asked to supply your membership number and surname the first time you log on to the Members’ Area. After this you will be able to log on to the members area by clicking the Login button on the bottom right hand of the home page, using the username and password you have created.

Please note

Access to the Members’ Area of the website requires that you are a current member of the Institution. You will not be able to see all the Members’ Area items if your subscription has lapsed.
